What this site knows about you, what it does not, and how to get your information removed. Written plainly, because you deserve a straight answer before you type anything in.

If you are worried about being seen
Start here. This site does not appear in your browser history any differently than any other site, so clear your history if somebody else uses your device.
The Quick exit button in the corner sends you straight to YouTube, and pressing Escape three times does the same thing. This whole site is built to sit in a single step of your browser history, so pressing Back after you leave takes you to wherever you were before you arrived here, not back into this site. It cannot erase the page from your saved browser history.
If you email or call, that email and that phone number are on your device and on your bill. Nothing this website does can change that.
If you are in danger right now, call 911. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233, free and open all day and night, or text START to 88788.
What this site collects
Only what you type into a form, and only when you press the button. Buying something from the shop is different, and that is covered below.
- The free guide form: your first name and your email address.
- The contact form: your name, email, phone number if you choose to give one, company or brand if it applies, what your message is about, and the message itself.
Alongside a submission, the site records how long the page was open before you pressed the button and which website the request came from. That is there to catch automated spam, not to profile you, and it is discarded rather than stored with your details.
Buying music or books
Buying happens on her shop at shop.lisaturman.com, which is a separate checkout from the forms above. To sell you a download it needs a name, an email address and a billing address.
Card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this site. Stripe is the payment company that handles the money. Lisa sees that a sale happened and who it was to. She never sees your card number.
Your email address is used to send your receipt and your download link, and to sort it out if the file will not download or is not what was described.
Buying does put you in her contacts. That is how the receipt and the download reach you, and it means she may email you about her music later. If you would rather she did not, every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom and one click is enough.
What this site does not do
- No advertising, and no advertising trackers.
- No third-party analytics following you around the internet.
- No selling, renting or sharing your information. Ever.
- No cookies for tracking. The site does not set any advertising cookie.
- No account to create, and no password to remember, on this site. The shop does send a one-time code to your email if you go back to re-download something you bought.
What happens to what you send
Your details go to Lisa so she can send you what you asked for and answer you. They are held in the tools she uses to run her email and her inbox, and they are used for that and nothing else.
If you join her email list, every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are off it. You do not have to explain why, and you will not be emailed to ask.
Other people's websites
Links out to Instagram, TikTok, her merch store or a retailer take you to companies with their own rules. Once you are on their site, their privacy policy applies rather than this one.
Getting your information removed
Email lisa@lisaturman.com and ask. You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and you do not need to give a reason. If deletion is what you want, it is deleted.
Children
This site is meant for adults and does not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. If that has happened, email the address above and it will be removed.
Changes
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. It describes what actually happens, not what is planned.
Asking about any of this
Email lisa@lisaturman.com. Lisa Turman, Nashville, Tennessee.
