I make music, I write books, and I'm building something called The Mending Place for women who are climbing out of the kind of life I lived for way too long. If you've ever felt broken and kept going anyway, you already understand what I do and why I do it.
I came up through a lot. A hard childhood, relationships that taught me love could look like pain, and years of thinking I had to stay quiet to stay safe. I lost my son Joseph when he was three, and I carry him with me in everything I create. I'm a mother of ten, and every one of them is part of why I fought to build a different life. Today I've got that life. It's not perfect, but it's peaceful, and I had to walk through fire to get here.
I put my music out as Ravyn Mae. I write the lyrics and shape the sound, and yes, I use AI as one of my tools to bring the songs together. I don't hide that. What I care about is that the words are true and they reach the person who needs them. My book Unbroken is the whole story, told like I'm sitting right across from you. And The Mending Place is where all of it is headed, a safe place now, and transitional housing for survivors down the road.
If you're still in it, or just getting out, or years out and still healing, I'm glad you're here. Your story isn't over. Mine wasn't either.
A mother of ten, nine living.
